This young woman found her upper lip “fell off” too quickly on the sides, such that she didn’t think lipsticks showed to advantage. She wanted a small augmentation, nothing too dramatic. She didn’t want family to notice she’d “done something”, and she didn’t want the lips to look too large. She definitely wanted something natural looking. She was a good candidate for lip augmentation with Hyaluronic acid filler because her lips were an overall nice shape, with a noticeable cupid’s Bow, and were not very very small. A topical numbing agent was applied to the lips about 15 minutes prior to injection. The lips were then iced immediately prior. She had injection with 1 syringe of Juvederm Ultra. She experienced minimal discomfort. In the after photo we can see the upper lip is subtly larger , with added fullness at the sides, and to a lesser degree the bottom lip is also more full.
