Decision For Facelift, Brampton Woman Wants Long Lasting Facial Rejuvenation.

After doing her research online this 63 year old decided on Mississauga Cosmetic Surgery Clinic for her consultation regarding improving her facial appearance. She was feeling she looked tired and worn out. She had read about Botox and Fillers and wondered whether these might do the trick. She didn’t like the prominent nasolabial fold, marionette lines, and jowls that had developed over the years , and she had considerable loose skin along the jawline, with laxity in her neck as well. Among other concerns were some brown spots that had developed on her complexion , probably due to photoaging ( sun exposure), and she admitted she only used sunscreen sometimes. Dr. Weinberg went over her options in detail, explaining that some of her skin concerns could be improved with good skin care. Injectables , particularly fillers, could improve her nasolabial lines, marionettes, and conceal her jowls to some extent, but re-treatment would be required, and laxity of skin could not be reversed with injectables. Wanting a more long lasting solution with more dramatic improvement, she decided on a facelift. She immediately started pre surgical treatment with Obaji skin care as per Dr. Weinberg’s recommendation, who also advised she stop smoking. Three months later, in a 4 hour procedure under general anaesthetic, she underwent a “ Short Scar” facelift. Dr. Weinberg felt her neck laxity was not too severe, and could be managed with an approach from the side, as opposed to needing to open the neck, as with a “Long Scar” facelift. Pictured 12 weeks later we can see marked improvement . Her skin is more taut, though very natural in appearance, with nasolabial and marionette lines almost eliminated, and she has a much smoother contour to the jaw, with little jowling. The neck is also improved, with less wrinkling and laxity. Tone and texture of the skin is also improved, with less pigmentation, due to Obaji Nuderm skin care.
