Tummy Tuck, Tubal Ligation and Hernia Repair.

At 31, after 2 C-sections, this active hairstylist did not like her figure. The C-sections had left an unsightly scar, and her tummy protruded. She found Dr. Weinberg in Fashion Magazine, and booked a consultation. When he examined her, Dr. Weinberg found she had a large “diastasis”, i.e., a considerable separation of the abdominal muscles. She in fact had an umbilical hernia, such that the abdominal contents were extending through her incompetent abdominal wall, and a hernia repair was also necessary. He also noted she had a bad scar, and forewarned her that she likely had the tendency to keloid scar formation, and might develop a heaped up scar post operatively that would need to be dealt with. The patient underwent the triple procedure, tummy tuck, hernia repair and tubal ligation along with liposuction to her hip rolls under general anaesthesia, and recovered well. She is pictured here only a couple of weeks post surgery, thus incisions are still red. She did require a minor 45-minute scar revision procedure a few months later, and opted for a breast augmentation with Dr. Weinberg 3 years after her tummy tuck.
