Liposuction for Oakville Woman Improves Abdominal Appearance:

This active mother of three had no plans for more children. She was unhappy with her post pregnancy appearance. As a result of being diabetic she was vigilant about her weight, but despite being reasonably thin , she did not like the fat over her lower belly. Additionally, due to years of insulin injections, she had developed lipodystrophy, an uneven distribution of the fat over her abdomen such that she had an unattractive bump. At her consultation for liposuction Toronto plastic surgeon Dr. Weinberg explained she could improve her abdominal appearance with a tumescent liposuction procedure, awake but with sedation. He found the procedure difficult to perform because of considerable fibrous tissue, such that the liposuction cannula did not move with ease.
