This 48 year old executive assistant found Dr. Weinberg through a newspaper add. She then went online and sent an email through the website inquiring which body contouring procedure would be best to reduce the extra tummy bulge she didn’t like. She was quite fit and slim otherwise, but could not get rid of the fat around her belly button. She sent pictures. Given his years of experience in plastic surgery Toronto surgeon Dr. Weinberg thought she would likely be best with a Liposuction procedure after reviewing her pictures. He encouraged her to come in for a consultation to discuss all her options. At the time of consultation she was 5 feet , 4 inches, and in very good shape with isolated subcutaneous fat over her abdomen above and below her belly button and she had good skin tone. She was an ideal candidate for Tumescent Liposuction done with local anaesthetic. Prior to her procedure she went on Youtube and viewed some videos of Liposuction, which made her anxious. Dr. Weinberg and the staff reassured her that these videos were not very representative of the experience. She underwent a one and a half hour procedure, and listened to her Ipod throughout. She emailed Dr. Weinberg 1 week later to say that she felt the procedure had gone very well, with minimal discomfort, and that she had had only minor bruising and tenderness and no significant discomfort  immediately after the procedure. She is pictured here a few weeks post abdominal liposuction.   She has subsequently returned to the clinic for injectable facial fillers.
