Abdominal Shape Improved with Simple Liposuction, Burlington Woman Discovers.

This 64 year old woman was not unhappy with her overall weight , which was around 125 lb. She was however, unhappy with the shape of her abdomen, noting a bulge had gradually developed below her belly button. She had also been left with some irregularity in the abdominal surface after a lymph node biopsy 6 years earlier. Her sister in law had recommended Dr. Weinberg, and at her initial consultation all options were discussed, including tummy tuck versus liposuction. Mississauga Clinic photos demonstrate that she did have some laxity of the abdominal wall, but while a tummy tuck would have tightened these muscles, she decided the shorter procedure, and quick recovery time with tumescent liposuction were more appealing. As her laxity was not extreme, Dr. weinberg felt he could achieve considerable improvement in the abdominal bulge with the less invasive Liposuction option. A small incision at the umbilicus was made to introduce the liposuction canula. The procedure was done under local anaesthetic and the patient went home the same day. She was followed up the next day and reported sleeping well the night after the procedure, and had only minor bruising and swelling. Pictured here at 7 weeks, she looks much improved, with substantial reduction in abdominal girth, and a smoother contour.
