One of the early signs of aging is lax skin caused by the natural aging process combined with the effects of sun exposure. Ultherapy is an effective, nonsurgical skin tightening treatment designed to tighten and lift sagging skin on the cheeks, lower face, and jaw at our Toronto and Mississauga, Ontario practice locations. It is popular with both women and men from Brampton, Oakville, and other nearby areas. Unlike other non-invasive skin tightening procedures, Ultherapy targets the deeper skin layers without disrupting the skin's surface.

How Does Ultherapy Work?
Using ultrasound technology, Ultherapy specifically targets the deep foundation below the skin. Typically, cosmetic surgery is needed to address the tissue in this deeper skin layer. Treatments that use laser or radiofrequency technology deliver energy through the skin’s surface, which Ultherapy avoids. Instead, it stimulates the body’s natural collagen-building process to both tighten and lift the skin over time. Why is collagen important? It’s a natural protein that provides the skin with youthful firmness. As we reach our late 20s and early 30s, the production of new collagen slows dramatically.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Ultherapy?
Women and men in their early 30s and up who are noticing the initial signs of facial aging—sagging skin on the cheeks, lower face, and jawline, fine lines and wrinkles, and the onset of jowls—benefit significantly from Ultherapy treatments. By replenishing collagen, Ultherapy improves the skin’s tone so that it appears more youthful and healthy.
Good candidates for Ultherapy include men and women who want to:
Improve the skin’s elasticity
Create a more lifted appearance
Treat skin with mild sun damage
Ultherapy is often used to treat:
Crow’s feet around the eyes and droopy lids
Sagging brows and temples
Crepey skin on the lower face
Sagging skin on the cheeks and jawline
The décolletage area of the chest
Ultherapy patients don’t require plastic surgery to get the desired results. We can determine if you can benefit from Ultherapy after examining your skin’s tone and elasticity during the consultation. Some patients concerned about the appearance of a double chin who still have good skin elasticity may be better suited for BELKYRA® injections or neck or chin liposuction. Dr. Weinberg may also recommend combining Ultherapy as part of a nonsurgical facelift to lift and tighten the lower face area that also includes fillers and prescription wrinkle-reducing injections.

The cost of an Ultherapy treatment depends on various factors, but it is surprisingly reasonable and in the same range as many cosmetic injectable treatments. The primary factor is the area being treated. We customize treatments for each patient, and a specific price quote is provided after your consultation.
Ultherapy FAQs
Can Ultherapy treat a “turkey neck?”
Loose neck skin is one of the most significant cosmetic concerns for both women and men. Ultherapy is cleared by the Health Canada specifically to tighten and lift the skin on the cheeks, lower face, and jawline.
Is Ultherapy effective for the chest?
Yes. People who are self-conscious about wearing low-cut necklines that reveal wrinkles or sun damage on their upper chests can get Ultherapy treatments to minimize the appearance of lines and wrinkles in that area.
Can Ultherapy shape and/or lift the brow?
Yes, Ultherapy administered over the forehead area can no only result in a pleasing elevation of the brow, but special techniques in administering the treatment can help shape the brow to suit your taste. For example, Ultherapy can be used to give more elevation at the the tail of the brow, or more elevation centrally over the pupil, or more elevation throughout the length of the entire brow. Your Ultherapy treatment can be tailored to give you the look best suited to your overall facial structure.
Does Ultherapy hurt?
During an Ultherapy treatment, ultrasound energy delivered to the skin’s deeper layers causes controlled injuries that trigger the body’s natural healing process to produce collagen. The comfort level of patients during the procedure varies, but the sensation experienced lasts only when the energy is delivered.
Do I need to take time off after an Ultherapy treatment?
Ultherapy procedures don’t require downtime, and patients can resume routine activities, including returning to work. There may be some slight redness after the treatment that fades after a couple of hours.
