As a board-certified plastic surgeon, I have made a commitment to all my Mississauga-area cosmetic surgery patients to share the valuable knowledge I have learned through years of training — and to continue learning from those I serve. I am so excited that a recent announcement will help me to do both on a wider scale.
Trillium Health Partners, a network of medical centres in the Toronto area, has recently confirmed me as its division head of plastic surgery. I held the same position at Trillium Health Centre since 2004. When Trillium merged with Credit Valley Hospital — becoming Trillium Health Partners — I was reinstated after a rigorous application and review process.
With this merger, my colleagues and I can serve more people than ever at more health centres with access to more resources. In my expanded role, I can continue to broaden my abilities as I gain diversified experience and collaborate with an expanded network of healthcare providers.
As division head of plastic surgery, I plan on building a comprehensive, multidisciplinary breast surgery program and a melanoma centre. Also, I look forward to our involvement in training the next generation of doctors as Trillium begins accepting medical students from the Mississauga Academy of Medicine, a division of University of Toronto Mississauga.
